Five years ago, Charlotte moved to Delhi NCR and moved in with Kenya and Shifu.

Kibble every day, sometimes curd and roti on top. Nothing unusual, everyone around her fed the same thing.

But watching them eat that same bowl, day after day, one question kept coming back: is this really all there is?

She started reading, mostly forums and scattered recipes, and began cooking in her small Delhi kitchen. Jackie joined the pack, then Bob and Lucie. Five dogs eating meals she made herself.

But the deeper she dug, the clearer it got: cooking for a dog isn't chicken, rice and vegetables thrown in a pressure cooker. Get the proteins wrong, skip a nutrient, miss a portion, and you can do as much damage as cheap kibble. What started almost by instinct turned overwhelming, technical, and a little frightening, honestly.

So she asked the question again, from the other side: does it really have to be this hard?

Four years answered that. Four years of research, testing recipes on her own dogs, getting it wrong more than once, and working out why each time. She worked with veterinary nutritionists in Europe and the US to build something that could give dog parents in Delhi NCR the clarity she'd spent years hunting for.

The plan, at first, was to sell meals. That didn't survive contact with reality. A young dog needs something an ageing dog doesn't. A dog recovering from surgery needs something else again. Pregnancy changes the whole equation. No single bowl can carry that. A diet, followed over time, can.

That's the whole philosophy behind Bowl d'Amour: a diet that's balanced over time, not a meal that's balanced on its own. It shouldn't fall on you to cross-check every ingredient.
